So, if you’re looking to make a fashion statement, this is not the way to go. If, like me, your main goal with this is to ride your bike when it’s dark outside and not get hit by a car, this is exactly what you want. I often ride in the dark, on dark country roads. I have a tail light, a headlight, a light on my helmet, and still had drivers reacting at the last minute like they couldn’t see me.After a dozen or so rides with this, it’s clear that my visibility is no longer an issue at all. The lights are bright, the reflective strips are highly reflective, and the battery life, so far, is great. I’ve done more than 15 hours on the bike with this thing flashing like crazy and have gotten a noticeably wider berth from cars as they pass. This thing is so visible that I actually had a sheriff’s deputy pull up next to me on the road last night and tell me he wishes that all cyclists who ride at night wore something like this, and he was glad to see I was being safe by being seen.Overall the vest is light, pretty breathable, and doesn’t impede your ride at all. The sides are adjustable and the velcro (so far) seems like it holds well. The waist measurement is pretty spot on, but for secure velcro closure, I wouldn’t have anyone who wears more than a 38 waist wear this.PROS: Super bright, reflective, comfortable. Far less worried about becoming roadkill wearing this. Comfortable, long battery life. Three flash modes if you want a slow blink or constant on.CONS: Major con is that if it’s really dark out, don’t look at these lights! They’re bright enough to have you seeing spots if your eyes have adjusted to the dark. Looks tacky, but it’s not a fashion garment, it’s a safety garment. Battery pack a bit cumbersome in the vest pocket. Battery pack connector could be exposed to water/rain/sweat if not tucked into battery compartment. Could be tight for larger waisted riders/runners.
