Thru Axle Bike Fork Mount Quick and Secure Mount for SUV Van and Camper

If you’re reading this review then I’ll assume that you know what this is for.. I ordered this for a couple of applications; one is so that on trips, I can store my bike inside my SUV for better security than my hitch rack provides, and I also want to be able to mount my bike on my motorcycle trailer, along with my motorcycle, when I go on camping trips. Plus, I’m considering doing an enclosed utility trailer to toy hauler conversion for just such purposes. For all of those applications, this quick mount is just what’s needed since I can mount a piece of rail in all of those locations, and simply swap this clamp between them as required. I haven’t actually used it yet, but I can say that it is a well made and finished piece. The axle clamp rubber is thick and of good quality. It’s also attached to the main body of the clamp with screws at each end so it stays in place. They even included a replacement rubber insert if it’s ever needed, although judging from the feel of the rubber, I can’t imagine it wearing or getting damage any time soon. The tension adjustment is very quick and simple, so you can dial in just how much clamping force you prefer. And the cam over latch feels secure once you get the tension dialed correctly for your axle diameter. It also comes with a good assortment of mounting hardware to cover several mounting options, from channel, to just bolting it to something solid. My plan is to mount a section of channel to a piece of plywood for the back of my SUV initially, then mount another piece of channel to my motorcycle trailer, so I can easily swap the clamp depending on my needs. I just need to find the front wheel holder part that’s shown in the photo in the listing. I checked the Odier Amazon store and it’s not shown, so I guess I’ll have to look around for one as I don’t want my wheel flopping around and damaging the rotor.But, yeah, if something like this appeals to you and your needs, I think this is a nice piece of kit.
