Can attest that this thing holds the hat very well in place on my head. Attached it to a hat I bought at Zion park and recently used it while jet skiing and it held the hat on as well as it could. Minus 1 star though for the following reasons:- had to take a pair of pliers to crimp the metal ends in order for it to fit through the eyelets of my hat better- has a very strong smell initiallyPros:- the leather itself feels very strong and sturdy; feel well made- the mechanism that keeps the string held together feels quality as well- you get 2 so you’ll have a backup

Recently I acquired a new hat without a lanyard and because it is lightweight the wind was trying to blow it off my head! This cord is the solution. I needed to use an awl to poke a hole through the tight weave of the hat to attach the cord, once I did that it was easy to attach and now I can wear my hat on windy days!There’s two cords in the package, they’re so well made I can give the second one to a friend as I know the first one will last for years to come.

I don’t write reviews but had to figure out how to write one for this product… this is a great hat chin cord at a great price that works well… easy to attach and use…highly recommend…
