Terrific set of 4 accessory carabiners. Although not safe for climbing, these carabiners have multiple features found on far higher priced carabiners that are. Made from robust aircraft aluminum which is anodized in bright colors, they can’t rust. Tensioned wire gates function exactly as they should: open smoothly; snap closed, and remain latched as long as no pressure is placed on the gate. No burrs or sharp edges. This includes the critical interior surfaces, which are rounded to help minimize friction and subsequent rope damage.These carabiners are *not* rated or intended for climbing: the seller gained huge points from me for expressly stating this. That doesn’t make them any less useful for an incredible number of other purposes. I always carry at least one carabiner when traveling – they are invaluable for clipping water bottles to a pack, serving as a clothespin, and so much more. As a climber for decades, I superstitiously keep a carabiner clipped to my tote for good luck.Unlike cheap little “toy” snap-links with gates that catch and pins that fall out, these accessory carabiners give every sign of being dependable. They should stand up to long use and heavy loads. Their high quality is far better than I anticipated, and price amazingly low. These accessory carabiners are a terrific value and I highly recommend them.
