This Bike Rear Wheel Holder is made from solid aluminum that appears to be very high quality. However, the mounting screws and nuts are not stainless steel, so if this is left in place and exposed to the elements it will rust. The mounting hardware should be high quality marine grade stainless steel for something like this that’s intended to be used outdoorsI mounted this to a 2×4 fit to the back of a truck for hauling bicycles. I do recommend this, but you may want to consider buying stainless steel hardware if you plan to leave it on the vehicle exposed to the weather.

I did a trailer upgrade that I need an option to hold my rear tire file the fork was mounted for travel & this is a great option. took all of 30 seconds to install and was very sturdy. Great value or price as well.
